Produced by Brave New World Arts Inc. as operating under the auspices of Planet Impact Foundation, the Brave New World Theatre & Arts Venture seeks to address the changes in our communities in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The three-day marathon was created to provide theatre artists with an opportunity to react to and reflect upon the events of 9/11, global terrorism, and the ‘New War’.

Erica Gould
Upcoming: director/co-producer for web simulcast for AOL/Time Warner of Janine Carter's What Light From Darkness Grows with Phylicia Rashad, Harry Lennix (Titus, Matrix II & III) and Lisa Gay Hamilton (The Practice). Recent stage directing credits include a mainstage reading of Lillian Ann Slugocki's Rough House at Playwrights Horizons and the world premiere of The Witches' Triptych, winner of a 2000-2001 Off-Off Broadway Award for Best of the Season. Gould has co-produced and directed numerous works of radio-theatre for WBAI in NYC and National Public Radio, including the NFCB Award-winning 6-part series, The Archaeology of Lost Voices, that was commissioned by NPR and began airing nationally in July theatrical adaptation of 2001. Most recently, she was selected for a NYSCA-sponsored development grant to workshop her theatrical adaptation of Milorad Pavic's novel Dictionary of the Khazars in NYC. She has directed productions for Williamstown Theatre Festival, Yale University, NY Theatre Workshop, Circle Rep, Franklin Furnace, NY Stage & Film, and New Jersey Shakespeare Festival. Gould has been a recipient of the Drama League Directors Project Fellowship, the Senior Boris Sagal Directing Fellowship at Williamstown, NFCB Silver Reel Award for Best Radio Drama, and numerous grants and residencies. Teaching: Yale University, NYU/Playwrights Horizons, Connecticut College, School of Visual Arts, Pace University. She is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.

Patricia Evert
Patricia Evert is founder and president of Patricia Evert Productions. She is an independent event producer, consultant and fundraiser with more than 17 years of achievement in the not-for-profit and for-profit arenas. Over the years, Ms. Evert has earned a reputation for contributing to the strategic vision of the organization's with whom she has worked. She has managed all aspects of both grassroots and gala fundraising events including the development of the concept, goals, budget, organizational structure, target audience, marketing strategy and materials, recruited event leadership, underwriters, celebrities and volunteers.

Mike Joseloff
Michael Joseloff (Marketing Consultant) has worked with clients as diverse as Microsoft, Disney, HBO/Cinemax, Ethan Allen, and Classic Stage Company both as an independant Marketing Consultant and as Senior Accounts Director at FourFront,a bi-coastal guerilla marketing agency. Prior to FourFront, Michael was with Signature Theatre Company for five seasons where he created the marketing department and helped the Company secure their new home on the revitalized 42nd Street.

David Lander
David's most recent theatrical production is SHORT HAIRED GRACE directed by Charles Towers at Merrimack Repertory Theatre. He also lighted THREE DAYS OF RAIN at Merrimack Repertory last October. Last summer Lander lighted FUNNY GIRL at the Sundance Theatre (Sundance, Utah) and the world premiere of the new musical MUSCLE by James Lapine and William Finn at Pegasus Players (Chicago).

David's lighting design has been presented on Broadway in the 2000 production of DIRTY BLONDE by Claudia Shear, directed by James Lapine, at the Helen Hayes Theatre, for which he received a 2000 Drama Desk Award Nomination and Hewes nomination for best lighting design. Also on Broadway, David lighted the 1998 production of David Henry Hwang's GOLDEN CHILD, also directed by James Lapine. Prior to Broadway, David lighted GOLDEN CHILD at The Joseph Papp Public Theater, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Singapore Repertory Theater, South Coast Repertory and American Conservatory Theater. David received a Drama-Logue award and a Maraham nomination for GOLDEN CHILD. Last Season Lander designed the lighting for two plays at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse, CLAUDIA LAZLO written by Arthur Laurents and directed by David Saint, and Venecia directed and adapted by Arthur Laurents, starring Chita Rivera.

During the summer of 2000 David lighted FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Sundance Theatre (Utah). David lighted a production of THE CHERRY ORCHARD in New Harmony, Indiana. This production was conceived by Olympia Dukakis, featuring and directed by her husband Louis Zorich. He lighted the long running Off-Broadway show GRANDMA SYLVIA'S FUNERAL. Lander has lighted Ice Theatre of New York, in residence at Sky Rink - Chelsea Piers, since 1997, and Chen and Dancers for over 7 years. His associate lighting designer credits include: CABARET at "Studio 54", A DOLLS HOUSE, A NEW BRAIN, and STANLEY.

My name is Jeremy Zwillenberg and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In the fall I will be starting my senior year as an Economics major. I thoroughly enjoy skiing and being with my family. I am a traditional person with desires for the faster lifestyle that New York City has to offer. Being able to work on a worthwhile project is extremely important to me.
